There is a time of coming and a time of going, even for Hogwarts students. But, you might ask, where do they go after they graduated from Hogwarts? Here of course!

The School
Schola Venifici has been around for a long time, founded when the Romans invaded Great Britain, and the wizards and witches who had come along were to instruct the barbarian druids how to do proper magic. When around the year 1000 AD Hogwarts was founded the headmistress who led the school at that moment agreed on taking in any Hogwarts students who wished to continue their study after they graduated from Hogwarts.

A few years ago the board of directors agreed on allowing magical creatures with human intellect to follow classes on Schola Venifici too, if they were able to behave and go without the place they lived long enough. This, initial, experiment turned out to work well, and ever since the school has been a home to various werewolves, vampires, centaurs, mermaids and other creatures, alongside a home to human students. Of course, because some of these creatures prey on humans, only those who can contain their hunger or thirst are allowed to attend the school and their dorms are safely outside a forcefield, which keeps them from being able to attack human students anyway.

Like the entire Wizarding World, Schola Venifici suffered from the Second War too, though the damage was not as extensive as that done to Hogwarts, the damage to this school was more one of losing students and professors than one of losing the building. But, because Howgarts is a partner school, staff is helping building everything up again.

The school is held in great esteem and collaborates with various institutes, like the Ministry and St. Mungo's to offer their students the best they can. And as, their official school motto says: "Non scholae, sed vitae discimus" (You don't learn for school, but for life).

The Area
The school is on the south coast of England, near where the Romans first landed, the are made Mugglefree at the moment the school was founded and it has been this way ever since. The climate is slightly milder than in the rest of England, as it is near the sea, and clouds form over land.

Near the school there is a small village, inhabited by students, who have their dorms there and professors alike. Also there are several other wizarding families, and, just like Hogsmeade, this is one of the remaining wizard only communities in England.

When you reach the sea, there is a small sand beach, where, during the summer you can catch some sun, but during the winter students are advised against going here

The Time
It's 1998. Only two months ago the Second War ended, only two months ago the Dark Lord was defeated once again by Harry Potter, this time for good. But, life has to go on, although there are still Death Eaters out there. It's a less dangerous time than the year before, but life still isn't a stroll around the block.
